Michael Caines appointed Executive Head Chef of The Bath Priory
The Bath Priory Hotel, Restaurant & Spa is delighted to announce that Michael Caines MBE has been appointed Executive Head Chef of its renowned MIchelin starred restaurant by proprietors Andrew and Christina Brownsword as of February 2009.
Michael Caines MBE is one of the UK’s highest profile chefs and has held two Michelin stars at the Bath Priory’s sister hotel Gidleigh Park, Devon, since 1999. Here Michael and his team are renowned for innovative, modern European cuisine. Michael is very much looking forward to his new role and comments:
“It is a great honour and privilege for me to be asked by Andrew and Christina Brownsword to oversee and manage the restaurant at this prestigious and wonderful hotel. It is my intention to bring more synergy between Gidleigh Park and The Bath Priory, while retaining their unique appeal and offer. We will shortly be announcing who the Head Chef is going to be to build on and take forward the wonderful reputation that The Bath Priory has earned to date. I would like to wish Chris Horridge all the best in his new appointment and I am sure that he has a wonderful future ahead of him.”
Located walking distance from the city centre, The Bath Priory has 27 individually designed bedrooms and a luxurious health and leisure spa. Also to be enjoyed are the gardens, designed by their award winning gardener Jane Moore. 2009 is set to be an exciting year for The Bath Priory with the introduction of new family suites and a refurbishment of the existing spa treatment rooms.
