The prestigious awards recognize the best value-for-money places to stay not just in the UK but around the world.
The citation for ABode Exeter notes:
"Across the board, you can
expect a posh, exclusive feel, but nothing ostentatious (staff are far too
friendly for it to feel intimidating). The Exeter property shines thanks to
its prime position on pretty Cathedral Square (ask for a room facing it) and
the sensational food by Michael Caines: his lunch menu is a remarkable
£14.50. But the food beyond the swanky restaurant swung it for our visitor:
‘The delicious regional cooked breakfasts are just the right size.’ "
